How can we enter?

Simply fill in the entry form which can be found on the "More details" page for the relevant year..

May we see a risk assessment?

These are competitive events so we do not publish risk assessments in advance of the competition. All activities have full risk assessments which may be inspected on the day.

Do we need to bring any equipment?

Some actvities will require pupils to bring extra equipment with them. Entrants will be notified in advance what to bring. Activities involving chemical experiments will require competitors to wear safety spectacles and lab coats. We are unable to lend all competitors safety spectacles so it is best to bring ones own.

Where can one park?

The Olympiad takes place out of Univeristy semester time so there is usually space in the car park on competition days. At present the charges are £1 per hour prior to 2pm and £1 flat fee from 2pm until 6pm. This charge may be waived for competitors.

What are the demonstration lectures?

We arrange for well known science communicators to give entertaining and engaging lectures illustrating aspects of science. Details are published in advance on the relevant "More Details" page.
